READING COURSE IN WINNICOTT

$275.00

This course studies the seminal contributions of D.W. Winnicott to psychoanalytic theory and treatment, including such concepts as play, transitional space, and True and False Self. A particular focus is on Winnicott’s understanding of both healthy development and psychoanalytic treatment as being fundamentally creative processes. Writing assignments and class discussions make use of clinical material in integrating and applying the theories covered to a range of treatment issues, as well as the use of expressive modalities. “Come at the world creatively, create the world; it is only what you create that has meaning for you.” (Winnicott, 1968, p.101)
