READING COURSE IN JACQUES LACAN

The French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan (1901-1982) is one of the most widely referenced contributors to psychoanalytic theory in the world. Although he is discussed mainly in the area of cultural theory in the English-speaking world his clinical practice is highly influential throughout Latin America and there are now Lacanian schools in Japan, China and Russia.
In this course we will introduce Lacan through his concepts of the Real, the Imaginary & the Symbolic.
