BASIC CLINICAL CONCEPTS I

This course addresses basic psychoanalytic concepts and methods of practice. Topics include: defining psychoanalysis, setting the frame, early engagement with patients, understanding enactment, transference and countertransference, and working with dreams. Candidates will also learn the basics of presenting a case and have opportunities to address questions and anxieties that arise in becoming a psychoanalyst.
